The basement has always been freezing cold in the winter. From Craigslist I got 26 sheets of used 2″ foam 4×8 panels. They usually sell for 25 buck each, or more. I got each one for 5 bucks, I squeezed some tube adhesive and pressed them into place. With the help of my friend Chris and his concrete nail gun, we shot them into place to let the glue adhere. Simply put, the basement is now noticeably warmer, which also has an effect on the first floor. I get sad when the propane man comes to fill my tank. Although he is a nice guy, I like him more, the less I see him.
