Skylights

I recently had skylights installed.  I bought them on Criaglist.   I am always on that site.  I guess I paid 100 bucks each and waited for a pro to install them.  I installed two on my own, before these,  and it wasn’t the most professional job.   The two I bought were more narrow than many often installed.  I didn’t want my rafters cut and that would save time on installation  too.  The clever thing I came up with was on the inside of the house, where the cut out box in the rafters are.  Usually,  the inside box is finished with nice looking pine or some wood that make it look pretty.  Instead of pine finish boards, I cut and screwed in flexible-mirror.  My thought was to catch the sun at any direction and send the light and heat into the house.  My house is surrounded by many trees and it was dark for most of the day.  Now, when the sun  is up, so is the light in my kitchen.  I guess more light means more heat too.  Its nice to have light in the house and not use electricity.
